Working with the Dodge and Burn Tool – Skin Tones

In this tutorial we will look at how to even out the skin tones of two individuals. A lot of times when you have a person that is dark skinned beside someone that is light skinned it is hard to do an overall adjustment. This is because if you lighten up the dark skinned person you end up blowing out the lighter skinned person. This happens in the opposite if we try to darken up the light skinned person. The other good example is if you are imagining doing a wedding photo and you have to laser it on say granite. Now you have a white dress beside a black tux. Try and make an overall adjustment. It does not work. The Dodge and Burn tool is perfect for this as it allows us to do spot adjustments.
